How Ownership and Learning Drive Success: My Experience Winning the Spotted Eagle Award at Eagleview

award of mayank singh kushwah at eagle view

Introduction:

I am honored to have been awarded the Spotted Eagle Award by my company, Eagleview, in recognition of my contributions to the team. In this blog post, I want to share my experience and the strategies I used to achieve this milestone in my career.

Taking Ownership of Projects:

One of the key strategies I used to succeed at Eagleview was taking ownership of projects. One example was the Jfrog migration project. Despite being a new member of the team, I took the initiative to take ownership of the project and lead the team to its successful completion. This not only helped me gain the trust of my colleagues but also gave me the opportunity to showcase my leadership skills.

Learning New Skills:

Another strategy that contributed to my success was my ability to learn new skills quickly. I completed a proof of concept (POC) for moving the logops server to EFS + Lambda + API gateway, which was a new area for me. However, with a strong desire to learn and a growth mindset, I was able to pick up the necessary skills and deliver the project on my own.

Collaboration and Support:

Of course, I didn’t achieve this milestone alone. Collaboration and support from my colleagues were essential to my success. My colleagues were always willing to provide guidance and support when I needed it, and their feedback was crucial in helping me improve my skills and work effectively as a team.

Conclusion:

Winning the Spotted Eagle Award has been a significant milestone in my career at Eagleview. My experience has shown me that taking ownership of projects, learning new skills, and collaborating with colleagues are essential strategies for success in any organization. I am grateful for the opportunities and challenges that Eagleview has provided me with, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the company’s success in the future.

In conclusion, I would like to express my gratitude to Avinash Dalvi, Kamal Kant, and Lokesh Rao, without whom this achievement would not have been possible. I would also like to encourage other teams to embrace ownership, learning, and teamwork as essential ingredients for success. When we work together towards a common goal, we can achieve great things.
